AIShorts is an automated news wire with a human editor. This page sets out exactly which parts are which, so you can judge what you are reading.
What AIShorts is
AIShorts is an aggregator, not a reporting outlet. It does not conduct interviews, verify claims independently, or break news. Every story on the front page originates with a third-party publisher, and the headline is a pointer to that publisher's work. The value we aim to add is selection, ordering and presentation — not new facts.
If a story matters to you, read the original. Every card links straight to it.
How stories are selected
Selection is automated. Each edition is assembled by querying a general news index for artificial-intelligence coverage from the preceding few days, ranked by recency. When that index is unavailable, AIShorts falls back to a second source of technology stories currently drawing discussion. The edition is capped at twelve dispatches.
Two consequences worth stating plainly. First, no human chooses which stories appear, so the front page reflects whatever the underlying index surfaces, including its own biases toward English-language and Western outlets. Second, a story's presence is not an endorsement of its accuracy, and prominence on the page reflects recency, not importance.

What a human reviews
AIShorts is edited by Pawan Maheshwari. Because the edition assembles itself, editorial review is retrospective rather than pre-publication: the editor reviews the wire regularly, and acts on anything reported through the contact page. A story can be removed from the wire at the editor's discretion — for instance where a publisher has retracted it, or where a headline is misleading enough that linking to it does more harm than good.
No story is reviewed by a human before it appears. If that matters for your use case, treat AIShorts as a discovery tool rather than a source of record.
Corrections policy
We correct three kinds of error:
- Ours. A wrong section label, a broken or mismatched link, a summary that misrepresents the source, an illustration that could be mistaken for a photograph. These are fixed and logged below.
- Presentational. Anything that misleads through arrangement rather than fact — a headline placed under the wrong kicker, or a stale story presented as current.
- Upstream. Where a publisher corrects or retracts a story, we remove it from the wire and note it here. We do not correct another outlet's copy on their behalf.
To report something, use the contact page. Please include the headline and the date of the edition.
We do not silently edit. Where a correction changes what a story said, the log entry records what was wrong as well as what changed.
Independence and money
AIShorts is published by planetAI LLP and takes no payment for placement. No publisher, vendor or sponsor can buy a position on the front page, and there is no paid inclusion in the wire. Where that changes, it will be disclosed here first.
